A Cattle Show Love Story

Eric & Terra first laid eyes on each other in 2013 at a Fall Cattle Show in Olds. They were busy that weekend and didn’t really get to chat, but as Terra says (“I think he admired me from afar!” with a chuckle)!! After asking a few people about this Eric guy, it dawned on her that she had seen him before (briefly) at Farm Fair. A week later, she added him as a friend on Facebook and on Thanksgiving weekend he dropped her a note— “Happy Thanksgiving Terra!”. (SMOOOOOTH)

After chatting back and forth for a few months they finally met up at another cattle show in Medicine Hat– from there, things seemed to fall into place! They soon started dating and the long distance trips between Alberta and Saskatchewan almost every weekend began!

On September 18 2016, while separating pairs in a back pasture Eric decided to pop the question! Once Terra got on her horse she looked over at Eric, pulling out a purple box from his pocket! She was so surprised she blurted out “what is that?!” and then he asked her to marry him!!!

It was my absolute pleasure to photograph this beautiful farm couple engagement!!! Can’t wait for their October wedding in Olds!
