My Johansen Missy Chocolate Bag

Here it is — my Missy Chocolate camera “purse”. For the longest time I fought it– having a real camera bag! All of my girlfriends were sporting stylish House of Flynn, Kelly Moore, JoTotes or Epiphany bags. In October, JoTotes (now Johansen Bags) had a sale on camera bags. For $99 US I could pick up the Johansen Missy Chocolate bag!! I hummed and hawed about it all day but eventually pulled the trigger and anxiously waited for it to arrive. It shipped quickly and I was practically bouncing up and down when it came to my door and was blown away.

The bag has a lot more space than I could have hoped. For an engagement shoot, I can pack my Canon 6D, 70-200, 85, 35 and my macro and there is some extra space and zips very easily. I could stuff it with more — my spare camera body, a flash, and it will fit.

When it comes to build, the faux leather is so decadent with the traditional brass hardware. I constantly turn heads and get compliments with it. It stands up on its own very easily and doesn’t tend to tip (unless my 70-200 is left in the bag on its own– thats a given). There is a separate slot on the inside that is perfect for sliding my ipad mini into. The sturdy handbag straps are pretty great for snapping my contigo water bottle onto when I’m on the go. The two exterior pockets are spacious and I stow my spare batteries, cellphone, keys and memory cards in there. My only “knock” on this bag is that it doesn’t have a wallet style memory card holder sewn into the inside (but you can buy a super cheap memory card case seperate, online). Otherwise this comfy, charming Johansen Missy Chocolate bag in a rich brown color was exactly what I wanted in a bag.

Happy shopping!
