Eric & Terra Married at Olds Cow Palace

A Fall Country Wedding at the Olds Cow Palace in Olds, Alberta

Eric & Terra first set eyes on each other at a Fall cattle show in Olds, Alberta! So how fitting is it that they returned to Olds (in the Fall of course) for their wedding?! You can read the incredible story of how they met by checking out their AMAZING engagement shoot that we did west of Airdrie this summer on my blog — I will give you a hint. It involves COWS!!!! And it will be featured on Buckskin Bride wedding blog any day now in November– Terra and I can’t wait for the feature!!

Eric proposed to Terra last September while sorting calves from cows!! They loaded up the horses to go and wean calves in their back west pasture, (Eric of course cool as a cucumber). Once Terra was saddled and swung up into the saddle, she happened to look down and here was Eric, walking right up, pulling a purple box out of his pocket. Terra was so surprised— of course, she said yes!!!!!! Eric & Terra’s wedding was full of friends and family from across the provinces, celebrating their special day!

Dessert Table Crisps, Pies, Loafs and Ice Cream: The D Dutchmen Dairy

This was a lucky find!! One of the Boon families’ B Bar cattle livestock trailers was in the yard– all the way from Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan!! Slap a dress on it and call it good!!

To the windowwwwww… to the wall!!!

Before we left to the back pasture we had to take a photo with the mountains! This is the front driveway to the farm, where Terra grew up.

After the ceremony we headed to the back pasture to take photos with the cows while they were having their lunch!!!!! OF COURSE– with the big bridal party and even though we were being quiet and sneaky– the girls said NOPE and headed up to the barn!! But I still got some cows in the background— I COUNT THAT AS A GREAT WEDDING IN MY BOOKS!! 😀

And then to my old stomping grounds, Olds College for more photos!! I just love the gardens on campus!!

And then onto the girlies!!!

The custom B Bar Cattle buckle!!

All of the girls with their silver pistol rings!!The tailgate crew!! It’s always so nice when friends offer to be the chauffeurs– a wedding day can be a lot more fun that way!

Limousin wine tickets for each table was a thoughtful touch!!

The dessert spread featuring confections straight from the D Dutchmen Dairy in Sicamous, BC!

Eric looks at Terra the same way I look at the pies that were served by D Dutchmen Dairy.. LOL!

Congratulations Terra & Eric and good luck to my two beautiful friends as they prepare for their first annual B Bar Cattle Bull & Female Sale, December 12 in Saskatoon!!! Exciting stuff is on the horizon for this power couple!
