Wedding Dresses in Airdrie

Getting married?! Make sure you stop in at my favourite Airdrie Wedding Dress boutique– Embrace Bridal. It’s one of my happy places!

Imagine this: you walk in, surrounded by a clean white aesthetic with gold accent. You’re warmly welcomed and surrounded by acres of fluffy, satin-y, silky and lacy wedding dresses. Take off your shoes, and walk (or in my case float) down the aisles of wedding dresses. The staff are so helpful (shoutout to Nadine & Natasha! You girls rock)– and if you come into the store with no idea what you’re looking for, they are happy to put you into 10 dresses to see what you like! The store has a wide range of dresses– when it comes to size, fabric and style, as well as prices. Most importantly they have a great selection of sample gowns in stock! I am a size 12-14+ and I am able to wear many of their dresses off the rack! Nothing is worse than going into a bridal store and not being able to try on a gown– envisioning it just isn’t enough. They even have a bridesmaid & grad dress section– in the winter, the store is poppin’ with grads shopping for gowns (it’s where I bought my grad dress too!).

They also own a menswear store, Suit-ed Menswear. The two stores are side by side: if you wander your way over to Suit-ed you’ll be transported into a gentlemen’s paradise (they even have a foosball table!). It’s a beautiful store, as well as being handy for pairing colours and textures when you’re shopping for attire for your wedding day. You could get all your shopping done in one fell swoop! Embrace & Suit-ed have an in-house seamstress, as well as a selection of fabrics if you’d like to see what a belt may look like, or a different lace strap would look like on your gown. And of course, a whole wall dedicated to veils (ask them about the cathedral length and tell them Kaycee sent you!!).

This was our first styled shoot together, and I came into the store with a pretty broad description of our colour palette: Fall colour. And for a wedding dress, I wanted something lacy that had straps or sleeves of some sort– a seasonal gown for fall. I believe the Essence of Australia gown we picked was one of the first ones I laid eyes on!! We packed 4 different bridesmaids dresses for the shoot– 2 neutrals and 2 reds. It was fun to see how versatile attire can be, even with a very bold colour palette!!

This bridesmaids dress was so cool! It was a dusty rose color with these awesome pearl draping straps.

This bridesmaids dress was a beige satin sheath dress with a halter top! It photographed beautifully.

Nadine picked this gorgeous blusher veil off the rack for us, for this shoot!! I think its the CUTEST!

Ugh I love this gown that we picked! It fit Emily’s figure like a glove, and we kept nicknaming it the “Gatsby dress” because of the fireworks of pearls and the vintage feel of the gown!

You can’t go wrong with timeless buttons down the back! Here you can see some of the ‘fireworks of pearls” I mentioned!

I love the mix of textures we had for fabric. On the left, we had a tulle high-low, and on the right a satin.

The whole gang!

Natasha picked out this shirt and jacket combo for Virgil and it was so sharp!! We also lucked out that Virgil’s hat already had a cranberry hat band.
