This week I was able to meet up with one of my fabulous 2017 couples for their Big Hill Springs engagement shoot. The day was fairly blustery but luckily we were able to find refuge among the towering poplars! Big Hill Springs is a favourite spot of many locals for a quick hike, scenic views and a peaceful place to enjoy nature– so it seemed fitting that we would shoot this Airdrie couples engagement here!! Big Hill Springs is just beautiful a few hours before sunset and one of my favourite spots to shoot. Tom & Bobbi-Jo have been dating for many years and first met when Tom walked into her workplace. Bobbi-Jo was working at a bank and while working on his account she mentioned, “Your last name is Dunn. That is my horses name”, and Tom said, “Oh! That’s cool, what color is he?” while Bobbi-Jo blinked and said.. “He’s… a dun”. And they hit it off. Bobbi-Jo and Tom enjoy their horses & mules, trail rides and their sweet Olde English Bulldog, “Mabel” (who totally hammed it up for the camera!!). I don’t think you could meet a couple that is more down to earth & made-for-each-other than these two!!!

Their wedding will be at Tom’s families ranch just east of Airdrie next August and I have already been let in on some pretty exciting details.. Like chips & salsa for cocktail hour (YES!! MY kind of cocktail hour!). Until then — I will be craving chips and salsa!!!
