–Dairy Farmers on a honeymoon near Didsbury, Alberta–

Arjan & Jessica are a sweet farm couple who booked me a few months ago for a honey-moon shoot!! Their wedding was just this past Sept 23 right at their farm near Didsbury. When they first moved to the property, all it was was a house on some land! A lot of love, and a lot of hard work, and the property now has a beautiful dairy barn full of Jerseys, a paddock full of goats and sheep & free range chickens wandering the lawn! Construction is still ongoing to house their beef cows & horses, and you can tell the amount of thoughtfulness and consideration that went into every detail. I was treated to a tour of the barn and saw their robotic milkers and of course, I got to cuddle with the sweet baby calves! We had a blast driving around the property, taking photos with the critters.

We drove up the road to get a few photos with their farm in the background! The neighbors fleckviehs came up to the fenceline and we couldn’t refuse a little visit with the girls!

Jessica & Arjan’s dairy herd consists mostly of Jersey cows!! I love how they range in color from soft caramel to dark chocolate, and all of them are so sweet with their big doe eyes and soft chins waiting for a scratch!

OMG! This sweet little Jersey heifer was such a treat. She is only a few days in these photos and was so full of joy she would bounce and buck.
