It was a typical Alberta day near Harmattan: the sun was in and out of the clouds, alternating between sunny & warm and threatening to rain. Ashley and her bridesmaids were huddled up in Scott’s parents house, in the attic overlooking the lawn where the ceremony was going to be held. The girls were doing final touches on makeup, admiring their broach bouquets, zipping up dresses, and slipping on their cowboy boots. We could look out the window and see the guests starting to settle on the square bales, and we could hear their friendly chatter float up to the attic. We were surrounded by antique furniture & decor, a passion of Scott’s family. As Ashley was being zipped up into her dress by her mother, I took a second to take in the scene. Ashley was going to become a official member of the Ross farm family, a family who was passionate about the roots of agriculture & rural life– which would also describe Ashley to the core! There was nobody more perfect than Scott for Ashley, or Ashley, for Scott. Congratulations to you both — it was a beautiful farm wedding!
