I first met Willy from Prairie Blooms when she did the florals for Alicia & Tyson’s Rolling Hills wedding. It was a sunflower bouquet and fabulous sunflower arch that caught my eye!!! I hunted her down at the wedding (Where is the florist! I need to speak to the florist!) and we immediately clicked!! I love her work and even though the Prairie Blooms Studio is located out of Brooks, Alberta, we have stayed connected ever since. Great florals are worth the trip!!! We’ve worked together on some projects like the Romantic Western shoot we did last August (that was featured in Calgary bride!). I photographed her wedding to Tye this May (if you LOVE peonies then check out her wedding!!) You can view Willy & Tye’s wedding in Rainier on my blog here (it was also featured in Calgary Bride!).
Today we are planning and arranging our annual styled shoot!! We are going with beautiful fall colours, a Harvest themed table setting and of course– cowboy boots & hats. You’ll have to stay tuned for the photos and watch for them to be featured in your favourite wedding publication! This morning my house is a flurry of elaborate florals (it smells soooo good) — my linoleum is covered in stems, petals and leaves and Willy is hard at work constructing our florals for this evening. We have a crazy, country flower install planned.. I can’t wait for ya’ll to see!!!
Willy tying off the first layer of florals in the bouquet! Thats right.. THE FIRST LAYER.. LOL!
