I met Travis & Kay-cee at one of my first weddings, Lukas & Heathers wedding in Indis, Alberta . (click the link and look for the handsome men with the umbrellas!!). Travis was one of Lukas’s groomsmen!!! I had a blast photographing the guys that day (in the rain!!) and befriended Travis. At the dinner that evening, I was sitting beside a friendly lady who I came to know as Travis’s girlfriend at the time!! We marvelled over our names being spelled the same (I have never met another Kaycee!) & bonded over our mutual love of buns (seriously, I love dinner rolls with oodles of real butter). A year later, I hung out with Travis & Kay-cee again at Kyle & Jocelyn’s wedding in Indis, Alberta! Both times we tossed around the idea of “if we every get married… would you be interested in photographing our wedding?”
WELL this past winter, my boy Travis popped the question on a glacial excursion the pair went on together!! Travis had the tour guides in on his proposal too– and totally caught Kay-cee off guard!! He tucked the ring into a beautiful geode and proposed to Kay-cee right there in the wintery air. ATTA BOY!!! We met up at this cool little location near Ardenode, Alberta for their engagement shoot! They are excitedly planning their wedding next August and I can’t wait! I hope they have dinner rolls!
Travis proposed to Kay-cee by tucking the ring into this geode and proposing in a glacial park!! How cool! OF COURSE, we had to end the session with cows! They are my fave!! If you want to get your engagement session done with cows, I’m your gal!!! Send me a note!
