I met Ian while I was studying Agriculture at Olds College. I mean, I didn’t meet him WHILE studying of course. I had my wilder days in college and I am pretty sure I specifically met Ian and his flock (herd? Gaggle?) of man-friends at the bar. What sealed the deal on our friendship was a trip to Timmies to get breakfast sandwiches after one of those nights. Ian likes to look out for his fellow man (err, woman?) and I respect that in a person.
Fast forward 5 years, and Ian has found himself his dream woman, and contacts me about photographing his wedding. I was bouncing up and down with excitement to meet Jess for the first time! We met for a farm engagement near Morrin, which is just north of Drumheller (which is one of my favourite places to shoot!). The farm was so gorgeous, with matching red barns, grain bins and beautifully manicured landscaping. I was thrilled to find out that this is where their wedding will be this June (heck ya! Are you kiddin’ me!!!). They will be saying their “I do”s with the barn as a backdrop, and hosting a reception in the loft of the barn (complete with twinkle lights and everything!). I can’t wait for this wedding!!!
This spot is where the guests will gather to witness Jess & Ian say I do!!
Ian needed to have a photo with his truck!
