A summery engagement at Prince’s Island Park. 

I want to introduce ya’ll to Jayme and Chris!! Jayme contacted me earlier on this year to be their wedding photographer, for their October 2018 wedding. Keep in mind this was early in 2017 and we were planning with plenty of time. At the time of our consultation Jayme had most of the day arranged: florals, meals, hotel arrangements etc– it was so exciting to chat with someone so keen and organized. Planning that far out, you tend to get the best vendors too!! Jayme & Chris are going to be married at the Willow Lane Barn in Olds next October!! (a fabulous country venue that you’ve gotta check out, by the way!!). We decided that since their wedding would be in the country (I’m not going to reveal the details— but lets just say– their wedding will be beautiful!!) we should do their engagement in the city!

Nestled next to downtown Calgary is a urban oasis called Prince’s Island Park. A lot of festivals and events happen here through the seasons that keeps it a poppin’ place. It was flooded in 2013 and a huge effort was made to restore the park. It looks fabulous now, constantly green with gorgeous towering trees! It was the perfect spot for a romantic engagement!!
