Paul & Lisa Engaged at the University of Alberta

A garden engagement at the University of Alberta

I’ve known Lisa for my whole life. Our farm owns pasture “up north” by Thorsby. My Dad bought these quarters in the 80’s and that would be around the time he met and became good friends with Dean Green (Lisa’s dad).

Lisa and I are the oldest in our families and only born a few years apart, so naturally, whenever the Lunde family packed up to ship pairs, drop off bulls or fix fence, Here is my brother and I in the back seat BEGGING for Mom and Dad to drop us off at “the Greens” to play with the kids. We would drop by the farm and knock on the door (this was probably before anyone owned cell phones) and I remember if the Green kids weren’t home, Jeff and I would probably cry (HEY WE WERE LIKE 9 YEARS OLD OKAY!). Because we looked forward to playing with the Green kids so much (and it probably meant that we would have to go fencing for the day). And if they were home that usually meant an afternoon of playing tag, feeding chickens strands of grass through the chicken wire (we are easily amused) and adventuring. A lot of fabulous childhood memories were had those summer visits with the Greens.

Fast forward to now and Lisa is a student at the University of Alberta, and is engaged to Paul (also a student at University of Alberta!). So of course, why not do an engagement session at the U of A? I was positively thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, and getting to know Lisa as a young lady and meeting Paul has been very nostalgic!! I am looking forward to their wedding next summer.

Are you engaged and love these summery garden photos?!! Contact me today and book your session!! I can’t wait to meet you!!
