A Rustic Country Wedding at Madden Community Hall with Camping & Yard Games for the Guests!

Kelly and Ron — what can I say about these 2 beautiful people!!! I am so truly blessed in this business.. I meet the best people — strangers who become good friends and am able to serve them on the happiest day of their lives. I met Ron & Kelly last winter. They enjoy skiing, the outdoors, and spending time with each other. They found me because they saw Tamme & Max’s ski lift photos at Lake Louise and they wanted to get awesome ski lift photos too! We made plans to head to Kananaskis for those photos and the trip was so worth it!! They even treated me to Pho on our way back to Airdrie (all the heart eyes!!). Kelly and Ron knew they wanted a country wedding, so they booked one of my favorite venues the Madden Community Hall.  Highlights of their wedding included free camping for guests (so sweet!), yard games in the afternoon to keep guests happy while we took photos, a wonderful bridal party,  incredibly hilarious speeches and a fricken poutine food truck for the midnight lunch!!!!! Yassss!!!

K+R are away right now on their honeymoon to Italy!!! (ah-mazing!) They are touring around and having a blast, and I can’t wait for them to get home and get their photos– but for now, here is a sneaky peaky. Love you guys!!

Some context behind this photo!!! Kelly & Ron & I met up a few weeks before the wedding to go scope out some spots to take photos that were a close drive to Madden Hall. Ron found this sweet little grainyard and since it was harvest time we were worried that if we pulled in the yard for photos we would be in the way, or we would be asked to leave, as the farmer would likely be unloading grain. It’d be too hard for us to track down who owned the bins so we decided to show up on the wedding day, pack extra beer and hope that the farmer would show up!! He did, and he was totally cool with us shooting in the yard and we got him a cold beer!! It was a cool memory!

LOVE this photo!! Whats a photoshoot in the fall without leaves!?  Ron hooked up a go pro to a bottle of moonshine!! It was passed around the group!! It reminded me of my girl Ashley’s wedding last August where they Go Pro’d a bottle of whiskey. Such a great keepsake!!
