Greg & Amanda’s Ontario Farm Wedding

Greg is a life time friend of mine– Our fathers were friends “when they were our age” and even though Greg grew up on his family’s Southern Ontario farm, our families have managed to keep in touch!! Their family made an RV trip to Alberta when all us kids were very young… that would be the first time I met Kurtis, Greg & Nicki. Then (fast forward 10+ years..) Bruce would bring the kids out to help at our family branding’s.

That would be when I met Amanda for the first time– when Bruce brought out his son Greg and Greg’s girlfriend Amanda in 2013. That would probably be the most fun I’ve had branding in a long time!!! Amanda is hardworking and a ton of fun to be around!! We laughed and talked farming– right from the get go I knew Amanda was special.

Amanda met Greg on his Ontario farm when they were just little kids. Greg’s mom owns Misty Meadows Equestrian Centre, a horse boarding barn with english riding lessons. Amanda was one of the barn girls there, taking lessons and enjoying the horses. They started dating many years later in high school, and you could say the rest is history!

When I heard of Greg & Amanda’s engagement it was a very happy day in the Lunde household!!! We booked our flights to Ontario and I got to enjoy the wedding as a guest (but brought along my camera… I can’t help it!). It was a beautiful (humid) day celebrating one of my best friends marrying the woman of his dreams!

Greg & Amanda wrote their own vows!! It had most of us in tears! Greg & Amanda’s black lab Chevy was part of the bridal party of course! Promptly after the ceremony the sky opened up and poured on us!!!!! It’s a lucky omen for a farmers wedding!

The reception was a perfect blend of Greg’s farm background and Amanda’s equestrian passion. There were iron horse shoes and stall doors as decor.

A black bull and a black mare on the cupcake stand!!!

Greg drove Amanda to their reception in his families John Deere!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greg’s Dad giving Amanda a welcome to the family speech.

It was a treat to see my friends again for their Ontario farm wedding!!
