Rustic Naked Cakes on the Farm in Airdrie

I met Rachel at a mutual friends New Years Party in 2015 and we were fast friends. We shared a conversation over cheese, cold cuts & wine and I knew I had found a fellow creative soul just like me. As we shared social media handles, I soon found out that she crafts beautiful works of art in her kitchen– gorgeous cakes with colorful fondant. My brain was buzzing & I knew I had to include her on some of my creative work!! I knew I wanted to have a cake on display in my booth at the Airdrie Bridal fair to add some interest. Rachel and I did some chatting back and forth & she came up with a gorgeous, rustic naked cake that was perfectly suited for my brand! I picked it up at her place and popped some flowers into it once I got to the Airdrie Bridal Fair. The finished cake was gorgeous: it was vintage and colourful. I popped in some gold glitter pine cones for some extra sparkle. People were constantly stopping by my booth and checking it out. And I couldn’t wait to savour a big slice of this cake once we got home!!!! The triple layered cake was buttery & decadent, but not too sweet. Just the way I like it. Rachel my friend, you are an artist in the kitchen!!!!!
